The joys of Easter egg hunts
Easter is about more than just eating chocolate... Or is it?

So it’s that time of the year again… It’s Easter, which to most children means
that it is time to eat lots of chocolate.
When I was young my mum used to set up Easter egg hunts in the house and
garden. She would hide eggs around all around the garden whilst my brother and
I would race each other to see who would get the most.
We would still find eggs days afterward. It was great fun.
I also remember going to a local Easter egg hunt at a local farm, and fondly
remember standing behind a line waiting for the whistle to blow to say we can
GO!
I could see an egg glistening sheepishly in the grass. I looked to my right
and there was a boy who also saw the same egg, it was game on!
The whistle blew and we both sprinted as fast as we could to this same egg. It
seemed to take ages, but it must have been seconds until we were both nearly at
the egg…
Instead of picking the egg up we seemed to have both landed on top of it in a
squabble, and in our entanglement, realised that we had squashed the egg.
We then both sprinted off into different directions in search of the next
hidden treat.
It was great fun.
Check out local Easter egg hunts in your area, there are bound to be lots, and
you know what… Your kids will love them.
