Which of our wooden baby walkers is best for your baby?
Treasure Island Toys appreciates the fact that different parents like different things, and so do their children, which is why we currently have a range of 9 different baby walkers for varying abilities.
Baby walkers are very important in the physical development of a child as it helps them get to their feet and walk about, which gives them freedom and develops their growing body physically.
The range of baby walkers that we stock are from manufacturers John Crane, Pintoy and Wonderworld, and each of them have their own unique characteristics.
All of the wooden baby walkers that we sell are environmentally friendly as they are made from rubber wood (Read more about rubber wood here), biodegradable fabrics, and are finished using non-toxic water based paints.
 Click Clack Wooden Baby Walker
The John Crane ‘Click Clack Wooden Baby Walker’ is made entirely from rubber wood and is finished in bright colours, to excite small children. It features 3 bunny rabbits, that when pushed along bounce up and down and make a ‘click clack’ noise as they pat the sturdy wooden base. This baby walker would be suitable for children aged 12 months +.
Looking at the Pintoy range of baby walkers, there are 3 different models.
 Wooden Activity Walker
This great Activity Baby Walker features a Twisty Clicker, Push Beeper & Colour Spinner on the front and there's lot of space in the front for placing your favourite toys to push along. This sturdy wooden baby walker has re-enforced rubber wheels to protect your floor. It is painted in bright colours to appeal to young children. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
 Wooden Baby Walker with 24 Bricks
Th Wooden Baby Walker with 24 Bricks will build up childrens confidence as they push this sturdy wooden baby walker around. It comes with a set of 24 colourful building bricks. Children will love emptying the bricks out of the walker and stacking them up. It is painted in bright colours, and features a small rubber strip around each wheel to help the walker grip, and also to protect the floor. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
 Wooden Baby Walker with Alpahbet Bricks
We have the ‘Wooden Activity Walker’, ‘Wooden Baby Walker with 24 Bricks’ and the ‘Wooden Baby walker with Alphabet Bricks’.
The Pintoy baby walkers have multiple functions, as they all contain a storage space at the front that would be suitable for bricks/blocks, with the ‘Wooden Baby Walker with 24 Bricks’ and the ‘Wooden Baby Walker with Alphabet Bricks’ coming with blocks included. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
Finally we have the Wonderworld range of baby walkers. These are the least traditional looking walkers that we have available, and definitely the most bright, and fun looking with different characters and themes featuring on each.
 Giraffe Walker
The Wonderworld Giraffe Walker is a fun wooden baby walker with crinkly ears and moving eyes. It features a shapre sorter on the front, and includes the relevant blocks for the shape sorter. It is a bright and colourful walker, and is very cute. The wheels feature small strips of rubber for grip and also to protect the floor.
 Fire Engine Walker
The ‘Fire Engine Walker’ is a solid rubber wood baby walker that has been painted as a cute fire engine. It features a host of colourful blocks that can be stored in the front of the walker, and also features a friction system on the wheels, which allows you to set various levels of friction on the walker so that it is easier of harder for your child to push. This is a very good feature as at first you want to set the friction a little higher until the child has got used to standing up, and the higher friction will allow the child to use the walker as a prop to stand up with.
Once your child has developed a little more and is used to using the baby walker, you can reduce the amount of friction on the wheels so that the child can push it around a lot easier and quicker. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
 Jolly Wagon
The Wonderworld ‘Jolly Wagon’ is the first of our baby walkers to also be made of fabric. This walker has solid wooden side panels and a fabric basket in which the child can store their toys. It also includes a shape sorter, various different blocks and moveable butterflies and flowers on the side panels. The ‘Jolly Wagon’ also featured the friction system, as mentioned previously. The recommended age is 18 months+ for this walker.
 Hopping Bunny Walker
The Wonderworld 'Hopping Bunny Walker' is a very cute baby walker that has soft bunnies that jump up and down as the walker is pushed along. This walker is thematically very similar to the John Crane 'Click Clack Baby Walker', but instead of being made entirely out of rubber wood, the Hopping Bunny Walker is part of the Wodnerworld 'Softwood' range, which means that is it a mixture of fabric and rubber wood. This is a very bright and colourful baby walker, which also includes the Wonderworld friction system. The soft bunnies are detachable from the walker for playing with, and also makes them easy to clean. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
 Light and Sound Fire Engine
Finally, we have the Wonderworld ‘Light and Sound Fire Engine’ and my personal favourite. This walker is in the shape of a bright red fire engine and is also made from rubber wood as well as a soft padded fabric. Children can push the fire engine around as a walker, but they can also sit on it and ride around. This walker also has a siren sound, flashing lights and makes a ‘click clack’ sound when the steering wheel is turned. Again this walker uses the Wonderworld friction system. The recommended age is 12 months+ for this walker.
