The lower case letters are encased behind the Perspex screen and can be moved around with the use of the magnetic wand. Children have to move the letters from the base of the tray and place them into the correct slot on the main board. Children have to manipulate the letters so they are positioned correctly into the base so an element of skill is required but, practice will develop this as well as letter recognition.
